The Angleton Police Department was formed in 1953. At the time it was formed, the Police Department consisted of the Chief of Police and 2 patrolmen. The Police Department now has 37 sworn officers and 13 civilian personnel serving a population of nearly 20,000 residents.

Note that Morse code is no longer required for any class Amateur Radio License in the USA.A one day study session/exam will be offered on Saturday, January 30, 2016. The class will be held at Alvin Community College in Room S-203 in Science Building in Alvin, TX. Course fee is $25.00 (cash) which includes $15.00 for the first exam. All materials are provided and there is no preparation required.
