The Teacher's Canvas Painting Workshops

Spruce up your home with holiday decor made in these hands-on painting workshops. Instructor Mallory Roy will be providing you with supplies and ideas on creating a fall time mason jar door hang in October’s class. In November, get cute with a wintery snowman.

Indoor Gardening COA

Indoor Gardening Series

We're excited to partner with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service - Brazoria County in a four part series for indoor gardening. Each week, Stephen Brueggerhoff, Extension Agent - Horticulturist will be streaming live on Angleton Parks & Recreation's Facebook page.

    • October 7 - Gardening Indoors:  Explore methods and materials including soil, lighting, picking a spot and choosing a container for successful indoor gardening
    • October 14 - Knowing and Growing Winter Crops: Consider vegetables just right for growing fall through winter. We will discuss planting with seed and starts.
    • October 21 - Herbs, the Spice of Life: Presenting herbs for window gardening, including a few companion plantings to make a perfect pair.
    • October 28 - Terrarium Dreams with Fairy Gardens: Add some whimsy and dreamy romance to your room, learning methods to create a successful and unique fairy garden.

Fall Camp Out COA

Fall Camp Out

Our Recreation Staff wants to welcome you to join us at our first camp out at Freedom Park! Guests will eat dinner in the park, have a tent decorating contest with prizes up for grabs, pumpkin carving activity to create a mascot for their family tent, s’mores, movie in the park and TONS of fun for all!

  • Age: All Ages - 17 and under must always be accompanied by an adult.

    • Large Camp Pack: Members $20; Non-Members $25. Large pack includes: 8 hot dogs, 8 bags of chips, 8 drinks, 8 s’mores kits, 1 pumpkin. 
    • Small Camp Pack: Members $10; Non-Members $15. Small pack includes: 4 hot dogs, 4 bags of chips, 4 drinks, 4 s’mores kits, 1 pumpkin. 
    • Additional meal ticket: $5. Additional meal tickets include: 1 hot dog, 1 bag of chips, 1 drink, 1 s’mores kit. 
    • Additional pumpkin: $5 each

MITP Hocus Pocus COA

Movie in the Park

Welcome to The Angleton Parks and Recreation Movie in the Park. Take your movie experience outside and come view "Hocus Pocus" on our inflatable 18 foot screen. We encourage you to bring snacks and refreshments. Come prepared with your blankets and lawn chairs to relax for a little while. Spaces will be limited and we ask that you do keep social distancing in mind. Parental discretion is advised.

Story Book Walk FB and COA

StoryWalk ®, featuring "Fall Mixed Up" by Bob Raczka 

Get interactive at Dickey Park by reading a story while walking the park trail. Storyboards include fun activities to try! Register your visit with onsite QR code, then visit the Angleton Recreation Center or the Angleton Library to get a cool prize. Event sponsored by Angleton Parks & Recreation, Angleton Library Branch and Friends of Angleton Library.

Private Swim Lessons

Private Swim Lessons

Those participating will register through the Angleton Recreation Center. Once registration is complete, the Instructor will then make contact with those signed up to schedule times for lessons. There will be a total of 6 lessons with each lesson being 35 minutes long. Spaces will be limited.
