Patti Worfe has served as the Economic Development Director since January 2003, stepping up to this position from the Main Street Manager where she had served since February 2001. The Economic Development department is responsible for all community and economic development activities including new business development, recruitment and retention, marketing, financial oversight and budgeting and special events throughout the city.
Prior to joining the city, Mrs. Worfe worked in healthcare public relations for over 10 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University in 1990 and has completed the 3 year Community Development Institute and will be eligible to sit for the PCED (Professional Community and Economic Developer) exam in 2008.
She is actively involved in her community and has held numerous volunteer positions with the Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce, the Angleton Noon Lions Club, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, First Baptist Church of Angleton and Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School.
