Residential Video Program

The City of Angleton Police Department is requesting individuals, who have video surveillance on the exterior of their homes, to participate in a voluntary Police assistance program.

The Angleton Police Department’s plan is to bring together a group of citizens, from our neighborhoods that have exterior home surveillance systems, that may choose to assist us should criminal activity occur on your street. What we are requesting, at this time, is that you fill out the section below, should you elect to participate. Then should there be a criminal situation, the Police Department will contact you and request if you could assist us by looking at your external video surveillance system.

The Angleton Police Department would keep a log on the locations of all video systems within the city and only contact you if the need arises.

The Angleton Police Department would use this neighborhood contact system only as a tool to assist in the identification and apprehension of individuals who are suspected of having committed criminal activity in your neighborhood.

The goal of this program is to deter criminal activity in and around your home and neighborhood, thus enhancing your police department’s crime prevention efforts.

If interested please fill out the attached form and email it to hvandergrifft@angletonpd.net or return to Angleton Police Department.
