A community’s character is determined by the perceptions and experiences of those who live, work, and shop there as well as those passing through. Urban design can provide direction and guidance for development to enhance a community’s character by creating a greater sense of place. This project focuses on city branding, gateway signs and landscaping to guide motorists into the community. The City of Angleton has selected Clark Condon, a Houston based landscape architectural firm, to complete City Branding and a Gateway Master Plan. This project is currently underway and the completion date is Spring 2020.
On February 4, 2020, Clark Condon representatives (Consultant) and City of Angleton staff will held a Town Hall meeting regarding the City of Angleton brand which includes the city logo. Public input on the final three designs was taken into consideration when Keep Angleton Beautiful eliminated the third designed and requested changes to the second design.
We invite you to give us your input on the final two designs during our upcoming Keep Angleton Beautiful meeting this Wednesday, March 4 which will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 120 S. Chenango Road.
